State Level Volleyball : Stage set for mini boys' quarter finals

IMPHAL, Dec 1 : The quarter final line up of the 20th Mini Boys State Level Volleyball Championship organised by the All Manipur Volleyball Association at Khuman Lampak Sports Complex was completed today.
SCYC-B, Senjam Chirang will meet AMIMYDO-B, Mayang Imphal in the first quarter final encounter before USWC, Uchiwa take on AMIMYDO-A; AMIMYDO-C take on MRC, Mairenkhong and HVA, Heigrujam play HIDA, Lilong Haoreibi.
In the last Group C league matches of the tournament staged today, USWC beat HYDO 25-16, 25-17 to finish Group winners after AMIMYDO-B beat IKYWA 25-16, 17-25, 15-10.
AMIMYDO-B also beat HYDO 25-19, 25-17 to finish Group C runners up and qualify for the quarter finals.
In an inconsequential Group C league match, LLYC 25-20, 25-18.
Meanwhile in a Group B league match, HIDA, beat SCYC-A 25-14, 25-15 to finish Group runners up.
In the Group D league matches, HVA, Heigrujam defeated IYYC 38-36, 25-23 and MCK 25-15, 25-20 to emerge group winners.
MRC, Mairenkhong then earned their third win beating LSA, Lilong 22-25, 25-19, 15-5 to finish Group D runners up before IYYC beat LSA 17-25, 25-20, 15-13.
41st Junior Girls Volleyball Tournament
In today's matches of the junior girls tournament, KAYO sealed a 2-1 comeback win against SSC, KYLSC beat PYC, Paraolon in straight sets and UNT edged past KAYO 2-1.
KAYO, in the first match of the day, suffered first set defeat but fought back valiantly to take the second set and win the game 23-25, 25-23, 16-14 against SSC.
Meanwhile KYLSC eased to a 25-23, 25-19 win against PYC before UNT, Top Siphai got the better of KAYO 25-17, 20-25, 16-14.
Junior boys'
Meanwhile in the junior boys competition, UC beat SDC, Samurou 26-24, 15-25, 15-11 and NYVA, Naorem beat USWC, Uchiwa 25-23, 25-15.
