All Manipur College Teachers' Association (AMCTA) has clarified that the college teachers are not staging any form of protests or agitation.
AMCTA in a press release informed that the college teachers are conducting the ongoing classes smoothly to ensure that the academic careers of the students may not be disturbed.
Hence the teachers' association has appealed to all concerned to refrain from making any statements which may  portray the college teachers in a negative way.
An emergency meeting of AMCTA Secretariat was also held today to discuss the clarification letter/orders in connection with the Accountant General (AG), Manipur query for issuing pay slips of 7th UGC pay and the possible impression that the college teachers may create among the people of the State.
Stating that the teachers' body has directed all the teachers of the unit colleges to discharge their duties without any apprehension, AMCTA expressed belief that the Government will resolve the issue of non implementation of 7th UGC pay before December 10, 2021 as promised by the Education Minister.
