Soldier found dead

IMPHAL, Dec 2 : One soldier was found dead inside the garrison of 57 Mountain Division, Leimakhong at around  6.25 am today.
Reportedly, the soldier was found lying in a pool of blood with a bullet injury at the rear post of 27 (Independent) Reconnaissance and Observation Flight inside the garrison and his service rifle was found just beside him.
The deceased has been identified as Lokesh (21), s/o Mukesh from Madhya Pradesh.
He belonged to the 246 Field Regiment based in Agartala.
It is believed that the soldier might have  shot and killed himself with the service rifle.
A case has been registered at Gamnom Saper- meina police station.
