Moirang 3rd Divn LeagueNASA thrash IMCC 5-0, qualify for semis as group winners

IMPHAL, Dec 3 : NASA, Ngangkhalawai romped past IMCC, Ithai 5-0 to cap Group A campaign as winners in the 1st Late K Budhi Singh Memorial 3rd Division Football League Tournament organised by DFA Moirang at Hemam Nilamani Ngangkhalampak sports Complex.
NASA though produced an attacking display, were only 1-0 ahead till the break with R Bishan scoring the opener in the 12th minute. However, NASA were in full command after the break with  Thangzimson scoring twice (41', 50'), first and last goal in the closing half and Axson (45') and N Lamjingba (46') scoring in between en route to their 5-0 thrashing of the Ithai team.
Earlier in the day, AMOFA Academy were held to a 1-1 draw by SSC, Terakhongsangbi but still finished group A runners up and qualified for the semis.
Alex did the scoring for the Moirang team in the 28th minute while the equaliser for SSC came up in the 32nd minute with Somorjit finding the target.
UKC, Saiton will play SEVA in an dead rubber Group B league match tomorrow before unbeaten GMC, Phubala and KRUN FC, Khoirentak fight it out for the group winners and runners up spots.
