State Level Volleyball TournamentAMIMYDO-B, USWC cruise into mini boys' semis with straight sets wins

IMPHAL, Nov 2 : AMIMYDO-B, Mayang Imphal and USWC, Uchiwa registered comfortable straight set victories in the mini boys quarter final matches in the ongoing State Level Volleyball Tournament being underway at Khuman Lampak Sports Complex.
AMIMYDO-B, Mayang Imphal got the better of SCYC-B, Senjam Chirang 25-15, 25-15, 25-15 today to make it to the semi-finals before USWC earned an easy 25-16, 25-17, 25-17 win over AMIMYDO-A, Mayang Imphal.
Others, reaching semi-finals in the same competition are MRC, Mairenkhong and HVA, Heigrujam.
MRC had to work hard today in the quarter final match against AMIMYDO-C as they had to come back twice to seal the game 24-26, 25-22, 21-25, 25-20, 23-21.
Meanwhile, HVA edged out HIDA, Lilong Haoreibi 25-18, 19-25, 25-27, 25-20, 15-10.
41st Junior Boys
TRYVC, NYVA and HYDO, in the meantime, reached semi-finals in the junior boys competition.
TRYVC, Ukhrul got the better of KYLSC, Kachikhul in straight sets (25-16, 25-19, 26-24) in the first quarter final match before NYVA, Naorem had their way into the semis beating SDC Samurou 25-13, 25-22, 25-19. HYDO, Heigrujam then edged out LSA, Lilong 25-17, 25-17, 22-25, 24-26, 15-11 to earn the third semi-final spot.
KAYO vs SSC in the junior girls ultimate clash
KAYO will face SSC for the junior girls title this year.
SSC registered two wins in the league round today to book the final berth today.
They won 25-16, 25-19 against PYC today in the first match before beating KYLSC 25-20, 25-17. Meanwhile KAYO downed KYLSC 25-18, 25-16 to book their final berth before UNT overcame PYC 25-13, 29-27.
