Manipur prevail 5-0 over Daman and Diu in Sr Women's NFC

IMPHAL, Nov 2 : Manipur rode on a double from Irom Prameshwori Devi to romp 5-0 past Daman and Diu at Municipal Stadium, Kuthuparamba and to top Group A in the ongoing Sr Women's National Football Championship.
High flying Manipur, who were 12-0 winners against Pondicherry in the previous match, continued their fine form to defeat Daman and Diu with ease today with Irom Prameshwori, who struck 5 goals in the previous match, opening the floodgate in the 26th minute before Salam Rinaroy added another during the additional time of the first half (45+1') to help Manipur enter the break with a 2-0 lead.
Manipur rested back for a while after the changeover until Prameshwori found her second and her seventh goal in the tournament in the 74th minute to give Manipur an unassailable 3-0 lead.
Manipur, despite the huge lead continued to press Daman and Diu defence hard and it was Moiranthem Mandikini who scored the fourth goal in the 86th minute before Sultana banged in the final nail in the second minute of the added time.
