World AIDS Day observed

CHD/KAK, Dec 2: World AIDS Day was observed in Chandel district on Wednesday by District AIDS Prevention and Control Committee (DAPCC) Chandel at Chamdil Town Hall in Chandel DHQs.
The programme organised on the theme "End inequalities, End AIDS, End pandemic" was sponsored by Manipur State AIDS Control Society (MSACS).
It was attended by ANBA Chandel executive secretary, Rev Huten Willson Anal; Rev Johncalvin, mission secretary ANBA; and District AIDS Control Officer Chandel, Dr B Cingdeihnieng as presidium members.
Later, a Candlelight vigil was also conducted to mourn all who had died due to AIDS/HIV followed by a public rally to spread awareness on the disease.
Similarly, Kha Manipur Yoga and Nature Cure Association Kakching also observed World AIDS Day at Healing Point- IRCA in Chumnang Leikai Machin-Manao Chinglak in Kakching district.
It was attended by SP Kakching, Victoria Yengkhom; Kha Manipur Yoga and Nature Cure Association secretary, Dr Mayanglambam Rajkumar; and Additional SP Kakching, Athokpam Romendro as presidium members.
Phidam -IRCA Kakching Medical Officer, Dr Mayanglambam Nishan also took part in the programme as resource person.
