BJP forgoes agenda, says MPCC

KAKCHING, Dec 2: Mani-pur Pradesh Congress Com- mittee (MPCC) general secretary, L Tilotama has cautioned the public to be wary of Bharatiya Janata Party as it is going to contest the 12th Manipur Legislative Assembly Election without proper agenda.
L Tilotama made the statement while addressing a press meet held at the office of Block Congress Committee, Kakching at Kakching Bazar on Thursday.
The general secretary expressed her concern over the BJP contesting the election without proper agenda and stated that if the BJP comes to power in the State again, the people would be left voiceless, unable to voice their opinions or grievances to the Government.
She also alleged that the Central leaders and Union Ministers have only been giving lip service and dreams of peace and prosperity in their recent visits to the State without any actual packages for develop- ment.
L Tilotama further raised questions over the declaration of the State as disturbed area contrary to the claims made by the BJP-led Government that law and order situation has improved in the last couple of years.
District Congress Committee, Kakching president, E Manglem; BCC, Kakching president, Ksh Ibohal; Siraj Ahamad, secretary MPCC; NSUI president, Kabir; intending candidates of Kak- ching AC, Naorem Kobi, Yengkhom Nilachandra and Ksh Kennedy also attended the press  conference.
