BJP-led Govt has healed people's fear: Biren

Thoubal, Dec 2 : A one day political conference of Bharatiya Janata Party was held today at Wangkhem playground in the presence of Chief Minister N Biren Singh and the party's State unit chief A Sharda Devi.
Speaking as the chief guest, N Biren stated that the common apprehension felt by the people of Mani-pur some 20-30 years ago is no longer prevalent today with the emergence of the BJP-led Government.
"People specially women gathered in groups and waiting for their children and husbands for fear of security forces was a common scene in the past, '' the Chief Minister said and claimed that such sight is now a thing of the past.
N Biren also claimed that police-public relations have also improved considerably over the years.
To ensure peaceful atmosphere in every house- hold is also a topmost priority of the incumbent Gov- ernment, the Chief Minister said and continued that every Government should prioritize public welfare and maintenance of peace and stability in the region it governs.
The BJP-led Government has also addressed the difficulties faced by the people due to imposition of prolonged bandhs and block- ades and the people no longer stand in long queues to purchase some litres of petrol and diesel in just four years and a half, the Chief Minister claimed.  
Admitting that welfare schemes taken up by the Centre and the State Government could not cover all the intended beneficiaries as of now, N Biren stated that Go to Village and Go to Hills were launched  to revise such shortfalls.
"Once the schemes cover all the beneficiaries, the State would  be developed," he added.
The BJP-led Governments at the Centre and the State have also launched Ayushman Bharat and CMHT to provide free health care facilities to the poor, covering upto Rs 2,00,000 and 5,00,000 respectively, N Biren main- tained and added that the State Government also  initiated CM's Health for All to carry out door-to-door health screening for primary health care.
He then appealed to all to support BJP in the 2022 Assembly elections.
Works Minister Th Bishwajit, Education Minister S Rajen, Rajya Sabha MP Leishemba Sanajaoba, Wangjing Tentha AC MLA P Brojen and BJP Wangkhem Mandal president L Sunilkumar Meetei  attended the programme among others.
The Chief Minister also attended another political conference of BJP held at Lilong Haoreibi.
