Villagers threaten to halt road work

IMPHAL, Dec 3 : Villagers of Khongkhang, Sibong Khudengthabi, TM Zoumun-nuam, K Zalenmuol and H Mongjang villages have collectively resolved to halt the ongoing expansion work of Imphal-Moreh road (NH-102) from December 6.
As per their statement, the villagers under PKG-3 and PKG-4 arrived at this resolution owing to the long pending unattended grievances of the people which have been repeatedly ignored by NHIDCL.
The statement further informed that the shutdown was not aimed at disrupting the ongoing work but the same work may continue only after arriving at a solution.
