State Level Volleyball TourneyStage set for senior women's semi-finals

IMPHAL, Dec 4 : The semi-final line up of the 4th State Level Senior Women's Volleyball Tournament being organised by the All Manipur Volleyball Association at Khuman Lampak Sports Complex was completed today.
SSC, Senapati will meet MPSC in the first semi-final match tomorrow before UNT, Top Siphai take on NSUVC, Imphal in the remaining semi-final match.
NSU made it to the semi-finals beating RC, Churachandpur 25-20, 25-20. The result helped NSU finish as Group A runners up having gone down to SSC, Senapati yesterday.
Meanwhile, UNT emerged Group B leaders beating PYC, Paraolon 25-13, 25-23 in the last league match.
SSC, in the meantime, edged past RC 25-15, 24-26, 15-8 to finish on top of Group A.
The 4th Senior Men State Level Volleyball Tournament also kicked off at the same venue and saw HVA, Heigrujam; IGO, Oinam; SDC, Samurou and MPSC sealing first round matches to enter the last 8 stage.
HVA were able to outlast NSUVC 25-20, 25-15, 25-18 before IGO downed SDI, Ishok 25-12, 25-21, 25-16.
SDC then saw off SCYC, Senjam Chirang 25-23, 25-21 , 25-22 and MPSC outlasted RC 25-14, 25-18, 21-25, 25-21.
Sub-Junior Boys Competition
Six league round matches of the 20th Sub-Junior boys State Level Volleyball Tournament was decided today.
In the Group A league matches, AMIMYDO beat USWC 25-27, 25-20, 15-6 and NYVA beat USWC 25-19, 26-24.
Meanwhile, in the Group B league matches, MRC, Mairenkhong beat HIDA, Lilong Haoreibi 17-25, 25-13, 15-10 and HIDA beat HYDO, Heigrujam 25-19, 25-21.
In a Group C league match, MCK, Kabowakching beat PRSC, Pourabi 17-25, 25-13, 15-10 while HVA, Heigrujam defeated SDC, Samurou 25-22, 23-25, 15-7 in a Group A league match.
