IMPHAL, Dec 5
The National Socialist Council of Nagaland/GPRN has strongly condemned the killing of 15 innocent civilians in the evening of December 4 at Oting village under Konyak region in Mon district by 'alleged trigger-happy' Indian security forces.
In a press release issued today, NSCN/GPRN termed the incident a 'barbaric act' and dismissed the explanatory statement from Indian security forces calling it 'nonsensical'.
The statement added that despite the ongoing Indo-Naga political dialogue that has seen much fruition, violence against Nagas continues unabated.  NSCN/GPRN deemed this the most unfortunate part of the Indo-Naga ceasefire treaty signed in 1997. Further, NSCN/GPRN  also extended their deep heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families in this hour of grief and wished the grievously injured victims a speedy recovery.
