PBC hosts memorial service for Late Thotshang Shaiza & Phungton Shaiza

Ukhrul, Dec 5: Phungyo Baptist Church (PBC), Tangrei Ukhrul on Sunday hosted a memorial service for Late Thotshang Shaiza and his elder brother Late Phungton Shaiza.
During the programme, families of Thotshang and Phungton narrated how the two struggled in Ukhrul hospital for their lives before succumbing to COVID-19.
Sothing Shimray, sr journalist and close associate of Late Thotshang enlightened the Church members on the works carried out by the deceased to promote journalism in Ukhrul district.
Former secretary of Ukhrul District Working Journalists Association (UDWJA), Lester Makang also gave a brief account of Late Thotshang Shaiza, who was the president of UDWJA for two terms, and an advisor of Ukhrul Journalist Association till his last breath.
"We UDWJA dearly misses him and will ever remember him", she asserted.
Juliet Shaiza, Mingyashin Shaiza, Soso Shaiza and Mayopam Ragui also spoke on the occasion.
It may be mentioned that Thotshang was also a deacon board member while Phungton was a Trustee member of PBC, Ukhrul.
Phungyo Baptist Church hosted the event in recognition of their immense service and contribution to the development of the Church.
