Governor's Cup fencing : KHFA emerge overall team champions

IMPHAL, Feb 19 : KHFA were crowned overall team champions of the 16th Governor's Cup State Level Fencing Championship which was organised by Manipur Fencing Association from February 12 to 15 at the Indoor Hall of SAI-RC, Takyel Pat.
KHFA earned 104 points to claim the overall title of this tournament which was participated by 145 male and 125 female fencers from fencing institutions across the State.
With 60 points, KHFA bagged the men's team title and claimed Thangjam Gopal Singh Memorial Trophy. The women's team of the same unit clinched Thangjam Ongbi Mani Devi Memorial Trophy as they finished team champions with 44 points. Senior men's team champions YDO (8 points) grabbed Aribam Nandakeshwar Sharma Memorial Trophy while senior women's team champions KHFA (9 points) earned Hijam Ongbi RK Sanatombi Devi Memorial Trophy.
Junior Boys' team champions, KHFA (11 points) received Wakambam Nodiya Singh Memorial Trophy as the junior girls' team champions, SAI-RC (11 points) grabbed Wakambam Ranjit Singh Memorial Trophy.
Cadet boys' team champions, KHFA (18 points) were feted with O Yaima Memorial Trophy while cadet girls' team champion SAI-RC (11 points) got the Moirangjam Geetarani Devi Memorial Trophy.
As Sub-junior boys' team champions KHFA (11 points) and sub-junior girls' team champions YDO (18 points) received Soraisam Ronika Devi Memorial Trophy, mini boys' team champions, YDO (14 points) and mini girls champions', KHFA (13 points) walked away with Wahengbam Birbhadra Singh Memorial Trophy.
