CYLC State Open Tennis : Stage set for semi-finals

IMPHAL, Feb 19 : The semi-final line up for men's open singles, men's 35+ doubles, men's 45+ doubles competitions in the 10th CYLC Cash Prize State Open Tennis Tournament being organised by Association of Tennis Lovers have been completed today.
The pair of Dilip and Ibohal made it to the semi-finals of the men's 45+ doubles competition today with a 6-4, 6-2 win against Sanatomba-Premananda pair in the first quarter final match of the said age group.
They, in the semi-final tomorrow, will meet Prakash and Ranjan pair which defeated Kene-Kumarjit pair 6-1, 6-4 in the second quarter final match today.
Tuleshwar-Kangjamba duo reached the semi-final thanks to a walk over and will play Romeo and Ramkumar who outlasted Iboton and Rakesh 3-5, 6-4, 10-8 today in the last quarter final match.
In today's quarter final matches of the men's 35+ doubles, Tuleshwar and Ribhaskar thumped Ramkumar-Romeo  6-1, 6-3; Pritam-Ashok outlasted Sanayaima-Domson 7-5, 6-4; Iboton-Rakesh edged out Birla-Aken 3-6, 6-3, 10-8.
Dilip and Ibotombi were awarded a walkover in the first round matches of men's 55+ doubles and will play Ranjit and Santa in the semi-final tomorrow.
Later, M Pradeep and N Ranjit earned their next stage berth with a 9-0 win against the pair of Ibungomacha and Anil today.
