JSYC hold KSYC in 1st AMFA Cup

IMPHAL, Feb 20 : A stoppage time goal helped JSYC, Kangpokpi salvage a 2-2 draw with KVYO, Kwasiphai today in a Group A league match of the 1st AMFA Cup which is being underway at artificial football pitch, Lamlong Thongkhong.
KYVO and JSYC were neck and neck in this game but KYVO off a fine effort by Ng Imarson Meitei in the 39th minute were 1-0 ahead till the break.
As the Kangpokpi side failed to convert their chances even after the restart, Kameikangbilung helped KVYO extend the lead to 2-0.
JSYC were however rewarded of their relentless effort with Sehgouhao Khongsai finding the target in the 73rd minute and off a last ditch effort during the stoppage time (90'+1'), Seiminhao Vaiphei quelled KYVO's hope of securing full point by scoring the freak equaliser.
In another Group A league match staged earlier, NESU, Khurai and WAFA, Wangoi played out a 1-1 draw. Y Monis Singh helped NESU earn the lead in the 10th minute but Peter S Haokip scored the equaliser for WAFA during the additional time of the first half (45'+1').
