CYLC Tennis : Shanker to face Luching for men's singles title

IMPHAL, Feb 20 : Shanker Heisnam will lock horns with Luching Lukram for the men's singles title in the 10th CYLC Cash Prize Tennis Tournament organised by Association of Tennis Lovers at CYLC court at Singjamei Chingamathak.
Shanker made it to the final beating Ribhaskar 6-4, 7-5 in the first semi-final match while Luching Lukram earned a hard fought 2-6, 7-6 (7-5), 12-10 win against Bona to complete the final line up.
In the men's doubles competition for above 45 years, Tuleshwar and Kangjamba pair defeated Ramkumar and Romeo 6-3, 6-1 to set up the final date with Dilip and Ibohal who outlasted Prakash and Ranjan duo 6-2, 6-1 in another semi-final match staged today.
Bona-Ravi on the other hand will play Tuleshwar and Ribhaskar for the men's doubles title for the above 35 years category. Bona and Ravi made themselves into the final beating Rakesh and Iboton 6-1, 6-2 while Tuleshwar and Ribhaskar got the better of the pair of Ashok and Pritam 7-6 (10-8), 6-1.
Meanwhile, Dilip and H Ibotombi pair defeated Ranjit and Santa 6-0, 6-1 to set up men's doubles final for above 55 years with Sarat and Leishemsana who saw off M Pradeep and N Ranjit 6-2, 7-6 (7-2) today in another semi-final match.
