KHASA tourney: Minthang scores treble as HYC drub MYC 5-1

CCPUR, Feb 20 :  Harmontlang YC (HYC) secured an emphatic 5-1 win against  Masemjang YC (MYC) today in a football league match of the 26th Kapaih Hill Area Sports Association (KHASA) tournament (football and volleyball) being underway at Khoirentak Khuman playground, Churachandpur district.
M Minthang scored thrice (11', 16' & 19') for HYC in this lopsided match as L Neithang (15') and Hmuneithang (17') added a goal each to ensure the big 5-1 finish. The lone goal for MYC was scored by Letkholal in the 23rd minute of the match.
The second league match of the day saw GFMDI seal a narrow 1-0 win against P Geljang YC while UKYA and Nalon AC played out a goalless draw in the third match of the day.
Later in the fourth match, L. Phainom YC shared spoils with Laimanai Kuki YC after a 1-1 draw.
Jeson put Laimanai Kuki YC ahead in the 17th minute before Naothang helped L Phainom YC pull level two minutes later. Despite efforts from both the ends in the remainder of the game, the scoreline remained unchanged forcing them to share a point each.
The last league match of the day witnessed Khoirentak Khunou YC edge past Senpangyar YC 2-1 riding on goals by Lenneihao (11') and Joshi Khoirentak Khunou YC (21') after Abung put SYC ahead early in the 4th minute.
