IMPHAL, Feb 23 : International Peace and Social Advancement (IPSA) organised a programme "Campaign for emotional tie and common development" at Manipur Press Club, today.
The programme was attended by Chairman MANIDCO, MLA Dr Radheshyam Yumnam; IPSA president, Joychandra Konthoujam ;  advisor, H Ibotombi Khuman; Village Authority, Hunphun, Ukhrul, Ningngam Zimik; chief of Neihsial Veng village, Churachandpur, Doukosat  Neihsial, chief of Kabhi Khul, Kamei Poudenlung Kabui and president, Mao Women Business Union, Imphal, Kapeini Pfoze as presidium members.
Speaking as the chief guest of the function,  Dr Radheshyam Yumnam said that Manipur is home to people of different ethnic groups.
Continuing that peaceful coexistence is imperative to take the State forward, he appealed to the people of Manipur to respect one another irrespective of caste, creed or religion.
The MLA also expressed happiness in seeing people of different tribes attending the event.
Relations among the ethnic groups of Manipur are getting stronger again and this is the first sign of development, he added.
