Sadar Hills Veteran Sport Meet kicks off at Kpi

KANGPOKPI, Feb.22: The eighth edition of Sadar Hills Veteran Sport Meet 2021 organized under the aegis of Sadar Hills District Sports Veteran Association Manipur (SHDSVAM) was kicked off today at Brig M Thomas Ground in Kangpokpi DHQs.
The inaugural ceremony was graced by Huidrom  Vikramjit Singh, Managing Director, HVS Construction Materials Pvt Ltd  as the chief guest while Lunseh Kipgen, Chairman, Kangpokpi Town Committee and Chongpu Kipgen, president DSA Sadar Hills who is also the advisor of SHDSVAM attended as the guest of honour and functional president respectively.
Around 16 teams from various communities across the District are taking part in the event.
The opening match of the tournament between Liyai Kongpao Liyai Kalapahar (LKLK) Veteran and Twilang Area Veteran ended 3-1 in LKLK. Khamingkhai Zimik  (28', 47') and Simon (30') scored it for the winning side while the lone goal for the losing side was scored by Thongminlal (54')
Later, Keithelmanbi Veteran were awarded a walkover after their rivals Tujang Lhang Veteran B Team did not turn up.

Kalapahar Veteran vs Saitu Veteran;  Twilongkun Area Veteran vs J Songtun Area Veteran and Tujang Lhang Veteran A Team vs VSAC Veteran.
