Stage set for finals of State Kabaddi C'ship

IMPHAL, Feb 24 : The final line up for the 67th Senior State Kabaddi Championship and the 1st MUC Veteran Men's Kabaddi Tournament have been completed today.
The tournament is being organised by Manipur State Kabaddi Association at Moirang Kampu playground with 9 men's team, 4 women's team and 6 veteran's teams taking part in it.
VETO, Laphupat Tera will be locking horns with LYUC-A, Lourembam for the veteran's title tomorrow.
VETO saw off ALUC 36-31 in the first semi-final match staged today to earn the final berth before JIBIKA, Imphal West edged out MUC, Moirang Kampu 26-17 for the remaining final berth. Meanwhile, in the senior men's semi-final matches, LYUC-A carved out a 31-24 win against LYUC-B to book the final ticket before VETO pulled off a 46-29 win against MUC to complete the final line up.
On the other hand, VETO will face off with LYUC-B for the women's title tomorrow.
In the last league match of the competition staged today, VETO got the better of MUC 42-20 and eventually sealed a place in the final.
