2,535 more receive vaccine shots

IMPHAL, Feb 25: A total of 2,535 frontline workers were immunised today taking the total number of people vaccinated against COVID-19 to 45,949 including 29,722 healthcare workers, said Government report on COVID-19.
Meanwhile, 3 persons tested positive for COVID-19 while 4 others recovered from the disease in the last 24 hours.
With this, the total number of positive cases has reached 29,253 and the number of active cases stands at 40.
So far, 28,840 people have recovered from the disease and the recovery rate stands at 98.58 percent.
The death toll remains at 373 with no deaths reported in the last 24 hours.
The three people who tested positive for Covid in the last 24 hours include one male and two females. They tested positive at Babina Diagnostics (1), Imphal Hospital (1) and Raj Medicity (1). All of them hail from Imphal West district.
On the other hand the four who recovered from the disease in the last 24 hours include three persons who were under home isolation. The other has been discharged from JNIMS (1), said a report of the COVID-19 Common Control Room issued by Additional Director Dr Khoirom Sashee- kumar Mangang.
The cumulative number of Covid positive cases is 29,253 including 25,821 civilians and 3,332 Central security personnel, added Dr Sasheekumar.
The cumulative number of recovered cases is 28,840 including 25,423 civilians and 3,417 Central security personnel.
The number of active cases is 40 including 29 civilians and 11 Central security personnel, said the report.
