Vijay Hazare Trophy 2020-21 Manipur suffer 3rd consecutive loss

CHENNAI, Feb 25 : Sikkim produced a splendid all-round performance to thrash Manipur by eight wickets in the plate group encounter of the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2020-21 at India Cement Limited Guru Nanak College Ground, Chennai , today.
Manipur which won the toss and opted to bat first struggled against Sikkim bowlers and were bundled out for 162 runs in  40.1 overs.
Kishan Singha who hit 36 runs off 41 balls was the top scorer for the Manipur side while Anureet Singh and Md Saptulla of the Sikkim took 3 wickets each.
Sikkim successfully chased the target with just two wickets down in 36.1 overs.
Sikkim's Robin Bist was the star of the match as he struck  85 runs off 84 balls.
L Keishangbam and Thokchom Kishan of Manipur took a wicket each.
 Manipur had also suffered a 10-wicket loss in the hands of Assam and 7 wicket loss to Uttarakhand in its previous plate group matches  of this year's Vijay Hazare Trophy. Manipur will play Nagaland next on Saturday (Feb 27).
