The Mansion

Amidst the stirring scent of the forest,
Tingling tunes of the earth
Where the riblets run with the beats
Stands a Mansion old as time.

Walls hardly seen but creepers,
Submerged deep into the hard ground
Becoming one with nature
As one of her very own.

Still it stood, elegantly peaceful
With all the right curves and edges
As sun beam falls on it, illuminating.
Charming every passer-by with its beauty

A sight that drains all soreness from the eyes
Bewitching all living with its presence
Luring them in to their own dark fate
Acting innocent with borrowed rays

Putting up a sight, bright and calm
While the inside is dark as gloom.
Took four innocent lives and more
Slowly, steadily sucking their souls
Standing before me, never more grand.

My feet tight, unable to move but forward
The sight and the scent tempt me
My dark fate passing before my eyes
But no more will to avoid it
As I become a part of nature
And my body a life of its own.
