Active cases drop to 33

IMPHAL, Feb 28: The total number of COVID-19 active cases in the State has further declined to 33 even though two new positive cases were detected during the last 24 hours.
According to a press release issued by Additional Director (Health) and COVID-19 Common Control Room spokesman Dr Khoirom Sasheekumar Mangang, two persons were tested positive at JNIMS and Raj Medicity and they are residents of Imphal East and Imphal West.
With no report of Covid related death during the last 24 hours, the death toll remains unchanged at 373.
On the other hand 13 COVID-19 positive people were discharged during the last 24 hours from CAPF (9) and home isolation (4).
The cumulative number of positive cases is 29,273 (general population 25,840 and Central security personnel 3,433).
This figure includes 28,867 recovered cases (general population 25,38 and Central security personnel 3,429).
The recovery rate as on Sunday is 98.61 per cent.
Meanwhile, 52,327 people have been vaccinated against COVID-19 in the State till date and this figure includes 3482 inoculated today.
