3482 more receive vaccine shot

IMPHAL, Mar 1: With 3482 people vaccinated against COVID-19 today, the total number of people who have received Covishield shots in the State has reached 52,327.
Of all the people who have been vaccinated so far, 29,760 are health care workers, informed a press release issued by Additional Director (Health) and COVID-19 Common Control Room spokesman Dr Khoirom Sasheekumar Mangang.
On the other hand, only one positive case was detected today. The man who hails from Kakching tested positive at Shija Hospital.
As there is no report of any Covid related death during the last 24 hours, the death toll stands at 373.
Meanwhile four COVID-19 positive people were discharged from home isolation during the last 24 hours.
The cumulative number of positive cases is 29,274 (general population 25,841 and Central security personnel 3,433).
It includes 30 active cases from the general population and 28,871 recovered cases (general population 25,442 and Central security personnel 3,429).
Air passengers who travelled to the State today by 6E-6241 sitting in rows 5 to 11 and 6E-2019 sitting in rows 1 to 5 have been informed to contact the Common Covid Control Room no 18003453818 or respective DSOs for necessary surveillance.
