IMPHAL, Mar 2: Government should look into the number of schools opening up in the state which are not recognised by the relevant authority and do not follow requisite rules and regulations.
All Manipur Recognised Private Schools' Welfare Association (AMRPSWA) said this in a statement issued today and said such institutes taint the efforts of other institutes which are working sincerely towards the goal of quality education in the state.
There also have been incidents where admission to such unrecognised and unregulated institutes resulted in loss of academic year of students and so the parents and guardian should be wary of such institutes, added the statement.
NK Global School, Moirang has been banned by Zonal Education Officer (zone IV) from initiating admission process or any education related practices as it was found violating rules under Right to Education act, 2009 and also not recognised by the Government, said the association in the statement.
AMRPSWA also extended their support for the New Education Policy (NEP 2020) and assured to work towards successful implementation of the same.
