JTSA appeals

It is unfortunate that the recently recruited contract secondary school lecturers who were posted at different higher secondary schools in Tamenglong and Noney are being transferred.
Joint Tribe Students' Association (JTSA) said this in  a statement issued today and claimed that the transferring of these teachers goes against the directive of the Government which said that the appointment was school specific and non-transferrable  as per the notification dated June 21, 2018.
JTSA urged the Government to reconsider the transfer of teachers with the future of all the students in mind, added the statement.
The student body also said in the statement that the system of substitute lecturer, wherein the appointed lecturer keeps a substitute lecturer on marginal salary, was becoming very common in Government educational institutions. Such malpractice should be stopped at once by the Government at once in the larger interest of the student community, added the statement.
