Students felicitated at Urup

THOUBAL, Apr 10: A felicitation programme for successful students from Urup in HSLC and HSSLC examinations 2019-2020 and Khulem Johnson on securing 41st State rank at NEET 2020 was organised by Urup Young Club at Urup High School today.
Gifts and awards were distributed to 10 students who had passed HSLC examinations and 13 students who had cleared the HSSLC examination in 2019-2020.
The felicitation programme was attended by MLA Lourembam Rameshwor Meitei; Chandrababu Khulen, president, Urup Young Club; Mutum Dhananjoy, headmaster, Urup High School; Muktiyar, pradhan, Keirao Makting; Laishram Surjit, member ward no 9 and M Joykumar, member ward no 10 as presidium members.
Speaking at the event, MLA Rameshwor advised Khulem Jonhson to serve the people of Urup and Keirao AC when he becomes a successful doctor in future and not forget the people of these places. He also said Keirao Kendra does not have any Higher Secondary School and Urup High School was at the centre of every driveway and was easily accessible to all. So he will work towards upgrading the school to Higher Secondary level, he assured.
