Sensitization cum workshop on NEP 2020 organised

A Sensitization cum workshop on National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 was organized by the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Lilong Haoreibi College yesterday at the Multipurpose Hall of the College.
The workshop was sponsored by the Directorate of University and Higher Education, Government of Manipur with an objective to familiarize the concept of NEP 2020 before being implemented nationwide, said a statement of Lilong Haoreibi College.
The workshop was attended by Lilong Assembly Constituency MLA, Yumkhaibam Antas Khan; vice president, Lilong Haoreibi College Alumni Association, Moichingmayum Kheiruddin Shah and President, Lilong Haoreibi College Teachers Association, E Bhorot Singh as presidium members, it added.
As a part of the programme, Mission 2.5 + (NAAC) core team member and mentor, Dr Th  Tilak Raj Singh presented the NEP 2020 document for the higher education sector and discussed in detail with teachers, students, elected members, local leaders and alumni members.
Principal, Lilong Haoreibi College, Dr Raheijuddin Sheikh highlighted the need of organizing such workshops and stated that preparations should be made in advance before the adoption of NEP to overcome any challenges that may arise in the education sector.
Once it has been adopted, it would be a new beginning in the education system, he added.  
Yumkhaibam Antas Khan reiterated that he would extend all possible efforts to solve the pending issues of the college including cases related to UGC within a very short period of time.
