Renu Handloom & Handicrafts opens showroom branch at Haobam Marak

Imphal, Apr 11: A branch showroom of Renu Handloom & Handicrafts was opened on Saturday at Haobam Marak Ngangom Leikai.
At the function, Deputy Registrar of Cooperative Societies of Manipur Oinam Jiten said  that the efforts are underway to implement Integrated Cooperative Development Project (ICDP) in 3 hill districts and 3 valley districts of the State successfully.
Stating that the State Government has submitted a detailed project report to the National Cooperative Development Corporation for the same through the Manipur Cooperation Department, he maintained that the NCDC had already given its approval for launching one fisheries and Agriculture Marketing Infrastructure (AMI) projects in the State.
The Deputy Registrar further said that ICDP project could not be implemented hastily as choosing the right societies/benefeciaries takes time and as much support of the Finance Department  is required.
The wife of Chief Minister N Biren, N Hiyaainu also took part in the showroom opening programme as a chief guest.
She said that the emergence of many entrepreneurs from the State is a good sign.
She also said that the problem of unemployment would be solved to a certain degree if more people like Renu come out and start providing jobs to the youths.
Secretary of Renu Handloom & Handicrafts Cooperative Society Limited, Renu Arambam maintained that much help from the Cooperation Department and State Government is required to promote entrepreneurs and Cooperative Societies based in Manipur.
She then appealed to the State Government to help the entrepreneurs from the State in getting working capital, machinery or any sorts of help from this undertaking of NCDC.
