Active Covid cases rise to 107

IMPHAL, Apr 11: With the daily COVID-19 positive cases increasing over the past couple of weeks, the total number of active cases in the State has reached 107 and this figure is inclusive of 13 Central security personnel. Today too, 10 people including one personnel of CAPF were tested positive at JNIMS, RIMS, Babina Diagnostics and Shija Hospital.
The civilians who have been tested positive belong to Imphal West (6), Imphal East (2) and Kakching (1), according to a press release issued by Additional Director (Health) and COVID-19 Common Control Room spokesman Dr Khoirom Sasheekumar Mangang. Following recovery, three COVID-19 positive people were discharged from home isolation during the last 24 hours.     
The cumulative number of positive cases is 29,496 (general population 26,042 and Central security personnel 3,454) and it includes 29,013 recovered cases (general population 25,576 and Central security personnel 3,437). As reported earlier, the death toll has risen to 376 after a 59 year old man from Imphal West died at RIMS yesterday. The recovery rate stands at 98.36 per cent.
Air passengers who came to the State on April 10 by Air Asia flight I5-7008 in rows 5-11 have been informed to report to the COVID-19 Common Control Room on 18003453818 or respective District Surveillance Officers immediately. Taking into account 476 people who were vaccinated against COVID-19 on Saturday, the cumulative number of vaccinations has reached 92,948.
