IMPHAL, Apr 12: The first installation ceremony of Junior Chamber International (JCI), Imphal Iconics was held today at Hotel Yaiphaba, MG Avenue, Imphal.
The function was graced by Thangmeiband A/C MLA Khumukcham Joykisan Singh, JCI, India Zone XXV president ZP Ankur Jhunjunwala among others attended the function as chief guest, president and guests of honor respectively.
Speaking in the function, MLA Joykisan lauded the initiative taken up by JCI, Imphal Iconics saying that its members who are the lady residents of Imphal City, particularly Thangal Bazar and Paona Bazar have come up with the choice to work for the betterment of the society thereby joining the non-profit organization.
He went on to praise the members of the JCI, Imphal Iconics, saying that the venture taken up by them is irrespective of caste, creed and religion and commendable.
Maintaining that JCI lay emphasis on certain values which are vital in the progression of human society, the MLA asked all the members of JCI, Imphal Iconics to strictly adhere to the aphorisms and objectives of the organization.
He also exuded confidence that JCI, Imphal Iconics will bring great achievements and welfare for the society in the years to come.
Ankur Jhunjunwala in his speech exhorted the members of JCI, Imphal Iconics to shun fear and rather work with commitment and dedication to achieve success.
He also urged the same members not to be discouraged and disappointed when they failed to accomplish something.
During the event, newly appointed office bearers of JCI Imphal Iconics, including its president Tanisha Jain, secretary Nidhi Jain and treasurer Manshi Jain were sworn (taken oath).
Sanitary pad vending machines which will be installed in different parts of Imphal City from tomorrow was also launched.
