Cheiraoba greetings

IMPHAL, Apr 12 : Greeting the people on the occasion of Sajibu Nongmapanba, Governor Dr Najma Heptulla said, 'I am hopeful that the advent of the New Year will further cement the bond of friendship among the different communities in the State. On the occasion of Sajibu Nongmapanba, I urge all to rededicate themselves once again to the promotion of peace and harmony in the State for making a better Manipur.'
Extending warm wishes on the occasion of Cheiraoba, Chief Minister N Biren Singh said, 'Let us travel into the new year with hope and ambition and resolve to do greater good for ourselves, our beloved ones and our societies.'
Titular king of Manipur and Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha), Maharaja Sanajaoba Leishemba has also greeted the people of Manipur and prayed for a prosperous, unified and developed Manipur.
He further appealed to all to take special precaution to prevent the spread of COVID-19 while celebrating the occasion.
Speaker of Manipur Legislative Assembly, Y Khemchand Singh, Works Minister Th Biswajit Singh, Agriculture Minister Oinam Lukhoi Singh, Consumer Affairs Minister Th Satyabrata Singh, former Deputy Chief Minister Gaikhangam, president of Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) Govindas Konthoujam also joined in greeting the people on the auspicious occasion of Cheiraoba.
Various social organisations and political parties including Ethno Heritage Council (HERICOUN), Shiv Sena Manipur State, Communist Party of India (CPI) Manipur State Council and Democratic Bharatiya Samaj Party, Manipur State Committee have also extended warm wishes to the people of the State on the occasion.
