IMPHAL, Apr 13: The proscribed KCP has called upon the leaderships of all armed separatist organisations to take the initiative of bringing about a seamless unification of all the groups, big and small, in the interest of Kangleipak and its destiny.
A statement issued by KCP Politburo Standing Committee Chairman Ibungo Ngangom on the occasion of the outfit’s 41st raising day asserted that a sovereign Kangleipak is undoubtedly the ultimate destiny of all the Kangleichas.
KCP was formed with the idea of liberating Kangleipak from the ‘colonial yoke’ and all these years, the party has been fortunate enough to receive unwavering support from the people of Kangleipak, it said.
The party further expressed hope that it would continue to enjoy the people’s trust and overall support in their struggle.
“Even though KCP and the whole armed separatist movement of Kangleipak are confronted with a number of challenges in this uphill struggle for liberation, we all remain committed to the cause and there arises no question of giving up the idea of sovereign Kangleipak”, Ibungo Ngangom said.
Saying that it is only because of the support of people that KCP continues to exist despite the increasing application of brutal ad extrajudicial tactics by the adversary forces, the Chairman appealed to the people of Kangleipak to always stand by the armed movement as a hole because ‘nothing less than sovereignty can actually ensure our survival as the de facto and de jure people in our own land, that is Kangleipak’.
