Ramzan greeting

IMPHAL, Apr 13: Chief Minister N Biren Singh has sent his wishes to the people, especially Muslims as the holy month of Ramzan/Ramadan begins.
“As the holy month of Ramzan/Ramadan commences, I extend my warm greetings to the people of Manipur, especially our Muslim brothers and sisters,” he wished.
Fasting during ramadan is one of the five pillars of Islam. It develops perseverance, self-restrain, discipline, social belongingness, unity and brotherhood. For believers of Islam, fasting and praying to Allah during Ramzan/Ramadan purifies one’s mind, body, hear and soul, he said.
