Kang tournament held

BISHNUPUR, Apr 13: The 1st Local Kang Tournament was held at Gourachandra Maha Prabhu Mandop in Ningthoukhong Awang Khunou today.
The tournament is organised by Ningthoukhong Awang Khunou Kangkhut with an aim to promote the traditional sport of Kang.
The event was graced by president of Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) and MLA of Bishnupur Assembly Constituency Govindas Konthoujam, former councillor of Ningthoukhong Municipal Council A Brojeshori Devi and social worker A Brajachan Singh as the chief guest, functional president and guest of honour respectively.
Four teams constituting of 7 members each participated in the tournament and Gourachandra Kangkhut defeated Oknarel Kangkhut.
