Senapati, Apr 13: In continuation of giving awareness to the people of the region, the BJP S/T Morcha, Senapati  organised a one day awareness campaign on Covid-19 vaccination at Tadubi village community hall today.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Pfokreho Pfoze, CMO, Senapati stressed on the need and importance to spread the information to all to get vaccinated with Covishield.
He appealed the young students to urged their elders to take the vaccination and make them aware of its importance inorder to save themselves and their families. With the new positive cases surging up recently, the CMO stated that the second wave of Covid 19 is more dangerous than the previous one and elaborated about the adverse effects how a person could spread the disease to other people in the region if proper vaccination is not taken.
Similar program was also held at Maram in the past where most of the shopkeepers got vaccinated. In order to return to the previous normal life, the CMO urged all to get  vaccinated.
Dr Ngouniba Peter, DNO, District Mental Health Program, Senapati stated that the maintenance of Covid Appropriate Behaviours and to get vaccinated are the important means to prevent from the disease.
He further stated that all age groups are not given the privilege to get vaccinated and only 45 years and above are given the opportunity till date due to shortage of the vaccination.
When many denied to get vaccinated due to doubts and fear, the programme was started with an aim to clear such doubts and fear that people might have in their minds. Although it is not mandatory, people need to know the importance of the vaccination, he added.
Later an interactive session was also held as a part of the programme.
The program was attended by village leaders of Tadubi  and representatives of BJP, ST Morcha, Senapati District.
