Many congratulate Mirabai on her world record feat

With Mirabai setting world record in clean and jerk with a record lift of 119 kg en route to her bronze medal at the Asian event, many personalities including Union Youth Affairs and Sports Minister, Kiren Rijiju; Chief Minister N Biren and Manipur's Youth Affairs and Sports Minister, Letpao Haokip expressed profound happiness and greeted Mirabai for her achievement.
"In her first international competition in more than a year, @mirabai_chanu makes a new national record of 205 kgs at the Asian Championships and won bronze medal. Her perfect clean and jerk lift of 119 kg is a new world record! Target Olympic Podium Mirabai!" Kiren Rijiju tweeted yesterday.
The weightlifter also replied to the Minister and thanked him for providing the best facilities and support.
"Thank you so much @KirenRijiju for providing us best facilities and all kind of support," Mirabai replied on Rijiju's tweet.
Chief Minister N Biren also congratulated Mirabai in his facebook post over her achievement.
Manipur's Youth Affairs and Sports Minister, Letpao Haokip also greeted Mirabai on her enhanced performance with a new world record in the clean and jerk.
"She returned to the international area after a gap of 16 months and became the first Indian women athlete to create a world record," he said while expressing hope that Mirabai will surely win a medal at the Tokyo Games.
Saying that it was indeed a moment of pride and happiness for Manipur and India as a whole, the Minister extended best wishes to achieve more in days to come.
He also wished her to keep inspiring youth and upcoming players with such great milestones.
