82 new cases in Nagaland

DIMAPUR, Apr 20 :  Nagaland recorded 82 new cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours, according to the Health Department update. 70 are from Dimapur, 11 from Kohima and 1 from Tuensang, reports NNN.
The State now has 257 active cases.
Meanwhile, with the rapid surge in COVID-19 all over India, including Kohima district, practicing Covid appropriate behavior, especially wearing of masks in public places and practicing social/physical distance shall be strictly enforced in Kohima district. This was stated in an order issued by Deputy Commissioner Kohima Gregory Thejawelie on Tuesday.
The order said that organizers of social/academic/entertainment/ cultural/political/religious functions, shops, markets, restaurants, hotels, business establishments, Government and private offices, educational and religious establishments, public transport under Kohima district are to strictly enforce Covid appropriate behavior.
All gatherings outside the containment zone, which is permissible, shall be limited to 50% of the seating capacity or 200 persons, whichever is lower. Thermal screening shall also be mandatory for all gatherings, the  order added.
