Indian Universities' taekwondo team trial at Maharshi Dayanand University

The Department of Sports, Manipur University has informed all concerned that Association of Indian Universities, New Delhi will be sending Indian Universities' Taekwondo teams (Men and Women) for the World University Games to be held at Chengdu (China) from August 18 to 29.
A trial for the preparation of the teams will be held at Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak, Haryana , said Assistant Director of Sports, MU in a statement issued today.
As per the statement, students who have finished among top 8 places either in 1st Khelo India University Games 2020 or in Senior or Junior National Championships of last three years or  in Khelo India Youth/ School Games-2020 or in School Games-2019 or had represented India in Senior or Junior categories in the last three years (from July 1, 2017 onwards) may participate in the said trials whose trial date is yet to be announced.
Intending students must also be reading in any of the affiliated institutions under Manipur University, must be above 17 years and less than 25 years as on July 1, 2021 and possess valid foreign passport, it said.
Interested students may report at the office of the Assistant Director of Sports along with relevant educational certificates and achievements from Matric onward on or before April 6, it continued.
