A Iboton Memorial U-15 Football RFCC overcome Loktak FC 3-2, slender 1-0 win for TYDA-A

IMPHAL, Apr 4 : RFCC, Keinou overcame late pressure to edge past Loktak FC by 3-2 goals as TYDA-A, Toubul sealed a narrow 1-0 win against UKCCL, Oinam today in the 6th A Iboton Memorial U-15 Football League 2020-21 organised by District Sports Association, Bishnupur at Mini Stadium, Bishnupur.
The lone goal that earned TYDA-A all three points was scored by Robin in the 13th minute of the match after a frenetic start from both the ends.
The two sides had fair share of possession and scoring chances, but lack in accuracy held them back from making the game a high scoring encounter. The Oinam side had plenty of chances to draw level and made a comeback but lack of luck and some superb defending performances from TYDA-A denied them to pull level.
Meanwhile in another match of the day, RFCC enjoyed a clear 2-0 lead till the break before taking a 3-0 lead with another goal in the second half. Loktak FC however made a stiff return lately but their efforts were not enough to close the gap and salvage a point.
H Poirei earned RFCC the lead in the 22nd minute before H Torres doubled their advantage four minutes later.
After the break, Ch James scored a fine goal in the 35th minute to give RFCC a 3-0 edge against Loktak FC whose Steven (51') and N Ranabir (60'+2') found the net.
