IE Dist Polo : Chingkheihunba PC-B, Ibudhou Marjing KHKL sail into quarter finals

IMPHAL, Apr 5 : Chingkhei-hunba Polo Club-B (CHPC-B), Kongpal and Ibudhou Marjing Khubam Kanba Lup (IMKHKL), Heingang ran riot against their rivals to make themselves into the last 8 stage of the ongoing 1st Imphal East District Polo Tournament.
The first match of the day saw Th Santosh, Th Manisana Singh and K Rivaldo producing fine display of equestrian skill and marksmanship with their mallets by scoring multiple goals for CHPC-B  enroute to their 10-1 demolition of the lowly Kangleipak Polo Club at Yairipok Top Chingtha and Ningthounai Kangjeibung Lampak.
CHPC-B started slowly and led the first chukker 1-0 via Th Santosh goal who added a goal each in the second and the third chukker.
With K Yaikhomba scoring a single and Th Ranjan adding twice in addition to Santosh's strike, CHPC-B were 5-0 ahead till halfway.
Th Manisana added twice in the third chukker as M Tomthin scored the consolation goal for the Kangleipak PC to make it 1-8 before K Rivaldo took honour to chip in twice for CHPC-B in the final chukker and completed the 10-1 crushing of Kangleipak Polo Club.
CHPC-B will play Khurai Polo Club tomorrow in a quarter final encounter.
Later in the second match of the day, Sankar scored 5 goals alone to hand IMKHKL a comprehensive 11-0 win against New Vision Organisation, Yairipok Top Chingtha. Bankar also added thrice for the winning side as Robert, Maichel and Bhorot chipped in a goal apiece.
The win helped IMKHKL set up a quarter final date with CHPC-A, Kongpal.
IMKHKL were 6-0 ahead till halfway before pumping in 5 more goals in the latter chukkers as New Vision Organisation remained langui- shing the game throughout.
X-Fitness Polo Club will play CHPC-C in the first quarter final match tomorrow before CHPC-B play Khurai Polo Club.
