1st IE Dist Polo Tournament CHPC-B set up semi-final date with X Polo Club

IMPHAL, Apr 6 : Chingkheihunba Polo Club-B (CHPC-B) saw off Khurai Polo Club 4-3 to set up a semi-final date with X Polo Club which drubbed CHPC-C 7-1 today in the ongoing 1st Imphal East District Polo Tournament.
In the first quarter final match of the tourney, X Polo Club, Wangkhei made the best use of L Tolongkhomba and Th Jacob Singh to complete 7-1 demolition of CHPC-C, Kongpal.
Tolongkhomba shone with three goals, a goal each in the  first three chukkers and M Jacob was nothing less as he pumped in three goals, one each in the last three chukkers.
The other goal was scored by L Atangba in the second chukker as the team led the game 4-1.
The lone goal for the losing side was scored by N jet Singh in the second chukker.
Later in the second quarter final clash, CHPC-B sealed a hard fought 4-3 win as M Santosh added twice. H Pritam and M Ranjan also scored a goal each in the last chukker to ensure CHPC-B enter the semi-finals after Th Nanao scored twice and G Bijeshwor chipped in a single to help Khurai Polo Club make a comeback.
Paradise Polo Club, Wangkhei will square off against ESC-B, Nongmeibung in the third quarter final match tomorrow before CHPC-A fight it out against IMKHKL, Heingang for the remaining semi-final slot later in the day.
