Veteran T20 Cricket : YWC-L, Model Club complete semi-final line up

IMPHAL, Apr 6 : YWC-Langthabal and Model Club-Chingamakha secured victories today to move into the semi-finals of the 5th T Subol Memorial Veteran T20 Cricket Tournament organised under the aegis of Manipur Veteran Cricket Association.
In the match staged at Oriental College and Model Hr Secondary School playground, YWC-L defeated YPHU-Lalambung Makhong by 7 wickets for third win and to finish Group B winners.
After winning the toss, YPHU chose to bat first and piled up 118 for 5 riding on Hemanta's knock of 50 runs.
Kumarjit of YWC-L bagged two wickets in this match as his compatriots, Manaobi, Jodiba and Sashi picked up a wicket apiece.
The Langthabal team however chased down the target at the cost of 3 wickets as Kumarjit (35), Jodiba (26), Shashi (18 not out) and Manaobi (24 not out) played sensibly.
Dularva and Gyanaranjan of YPHU fetched a wicket each in this innings.
Elsewhere at Langthabal Public Ground, Model Club beat  OSCAR by 43 runs for the second win in the Group stage.
Electing to bat first, Model Club rode on Mujibur Rahaman  (32), Suresh (31), Priyobarta (24) and Iqbal (30 not out) to stack up a total of 161 runs for 5 and held OSCAR to 118 for 9 in their share of 20 overs.
Joysankar of OSCAR managed three wickets in Model Club's innings before Cherish of Model Club earned a similar wicket haul to wreak havoc across OSCAR's batting line up.
