L Shanta Memorial Veteran Volleyball tournament begins

IMPHAL, Apr 7 : The first edition of L Shanta Singh Memorial State Level Veteran Volleyball Tournament-2021 kicked off today with the participation of 6 teams clubbed into two groups at Yairipok Shiphai Leikai.
In the opening (Group A) league match of the tournament, hosts Volleyball Development Committee eased 25-16, 25-11, 28-30, 25-17 past SLGC, Yairipok to kick off their title campaign in style.
Meanwhile in the second match (Group-B), WMC, Moidangpok defeated MLV by 3-1 sets (24-26, 25-22, 25-21, 25-17).
HVA, Heirok will play SLGC tomorrow at 7 am in the second Group A league match while MLV, Mayai Lambi will take on MRC-Mairenkhong in the second Group B league match at 2 pm.
