Some ACs don’t have any health centre

IMPHAL, May 10: Of the 60 Assembly Constituencies of the State, there are few Assembly segments which do not have any PHC or CHC or HWC.
The absence of health centres in certain Assembly segments was detected in the course of the ongoing Covid vaccination drive.  
Nonetheless, necessary measures have been initiated to carry out COVID-19 vaccination at suitable centres even though some Assembly segments do not have any PHC or CHC or HWC. The State Mission Director issued an office memorandum to this effect today.
The memorandum directed the concerned CMOs, DFWOs and DIOs to arrange alternative vaccination centres for the people living within the Assembly segments which do not have any PHC or CHC or HWC.
Another letter written today by the State Mission Director directed the Medical Officers-in-charge of 1st MR Hospital and 2nd MR Hospital to start COVID-19 vaccination of AMWJU members from tomorrow in batches of 20.
