The All Manipur Football Association has informed ESU to nominate a person who will be responsible for club licensing matters for the women's team.
AMFA informed the same to ESU which have qualified for the 5th Hero Indian Women League (IWL) in wake of the AFC Women's Club Championship (WCC) which the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) is planning to commence from 2023. In order to participate in the said AFC WCC, clubs are required to fulfil Club Licensing criteria laid down by AFC and AIFF, it said.
AIFF is also organising an online workshop on June 10 from 3 pm to 6 pm to brief Hero IWL clubs about club licensing and other related matters, it said. The nominated person can be the existing CL manager of the men club (if any), AMFA said while adding that the club can also nominate one additional person who is responsible for women's football matters (if any).
The nomination should be submitted to the general secretary of AMFA on or before June 1 via e-mail at [email protected] /[email protected] for onward submission to the AlFF, it added.
The champions of Hero IWL will represent India in this tournament, AMFA noted and continued that further details would be shared in due course of time.
