AMVA condoles demise of E Khomei

IMPHAL, May 28
The All Manipur Volleyball Association (AMVA) has deeply condoled the demise of National player Elangbam Khomei Singh from Thounaojam Yangdong in Kakching district due to Covid on May 26.
Khomei was part of Manipur junior team which finished third in the 8th Junior National Volleyball Championship-1981 held from Nov 11 to 15 in Kanpur and part of the senior team  at the 30th Senior National Volleyball Championship held in the same year at Faridabad from December 14 to 20, recalled AMVA in a condolence note.
His demise is a great loss to the State volleyball fraternity, it said.
The association conducted a virtual condolence meeting today and attendees observed one minute of silence as a mark of respect and love, it said.
The association also prayed for his soul to rest in peace, it continued.
