CM condoles

IMPHAL, May 7
 Chief Minister N Biren Singh has condoled the demise of Rev Dr Hawlngam Haokip, general secretary of Kuki Baptist Convention, Dewlahlane.
Born in 1938 at Khangbarol, Chandel district, Rev Hawlngam obtained his Doctor of Ministry from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, Louisville, Kentucky, USA in 1980. During his lifetime, Rev Hawlngam had served many Church bodies in different capacities in the State and abroad. He used to pray for the betterment of “our State and the Government.” His contributions to the society as a Church leader will always be remembered, said N Biren Singh in his condolence message.
“I offer my condolences and share the grief of the bereaved family. May the Almighty give them strength to withstand the loss. May his departed soul rest in peace in heavenly abode. Amen,” wrote the Chief Minister.
